Adeline Joy Slater

Adeline was born January 8, 2009 in the evening. She weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. I labored for 24 hours! She is such a good baby, she only cries when she is hungry or needs to be changed. I am pretty tired, but it sure is worth it! Josh is just in love with his little girl. And Lolli pup follows her everywhere. She even jumps up on our bed so she can look in Adeline's crib. We feel so blessed to have her! We will keep you all up to date. Thanks for all your love support!

38 1/2 weeks

So we have about a week and a half until Adeline is due, but we are hoping she wants to come out to play sooner! We are all set up and the baby clothes and blankets are all washed. My overnight bag is packed. We are just playing the waiting game now. I took a week and a half off from work to get everything taken care of, and it was getting pretty hard to treat patients with a huge belly getting in the way :) We will put up pics when she comes!

Registry!

Six and a half months, still sick :( Pretty sure I will be throwing up the whole pregnancy. Anyhow, we are registered at Babies R Us, and it was really overwhelming trying to figure out everything we need! Thanks for everyone's registry advice, it has really helped us out :)

Baby's Crib

Today we got the baby's bedding and set up the crib :) There are some pics on the side. The bedding and crib are from Grandma Slater, and the mattress is from Josh's mom. I am almost 6 months now, and still getting sick at least every other day. But I feel the baby move around all the time, so it reminds me why I am going through all of this! Josh finished his next ship, it's the Santa Maria. He is back at school now, so this will prolly be the last ship for a while :) We will keep you up to date on baby showers and the registry as soon as we figure all that craziness out!

More Baby Stuff!

So we got the baby's crib and bedding this weekend! Pics to come as soon as the bedding comes in. Unfortunately, our house is almost too small to fit all of our adorable baby stuff. We have quite a bit of rearranging to do! Josh picked out the bedding, and was adamant on getting the $40 matching mobile to go with it. Needless to say, it is NOT pink. It is green with baby monkeys! *sigh*

We are now looking for a stroller... We don't want a HUGE one with a HUGE baby carrier, but we need it to be safe for a newborn as well as an infant. Too much stuff and not enough room!

It's a Girl!

Two great things happened today!

1) We had out ultrasound and found out we are having a baby girl! I totally thought it was going to be a boy, so I am feeling a little shocked, but very happy :) She doesn't stay still for long, and she is already kicking up a storm. Apparently I have been feeling her move for the last few weeks, I just didn't know it. Check out the pics on the right!

2) Josh finished his model ship! The USS Constitution. If you are so inclined, there are also pics of Old Iron Side on the right. Now onto the Santa Maria...

I also start my second week at St. Mary's Hospital as a full fledged Occupational Therapist, Registered tomorrow. It is going really well, but it can be a little intimidating at times. We are really looking forward to my first paycheck! I can't believe I finally finished my masters program, passed my boards, got registered, and got a job. It is has been a long road, but totally worth it :)

Josh starts up law school again next week, and he made the National Mock Trial Board, so it will be a busy semester for him. Finishing up school and becoming a dad at the same time.... he is dedicated!
